Business Strategy

Argenta has two elements to its business:

Argenta's proprietary in-house therapeutics programmes focus on respiratory disease. Our objective is to deliver world class innovative therapies in the fields of COPD, severe steroid-insensitive asthma, allergic asthma and cystic fibrosis. Our objective is to develop strategic alliances based on these programmes such as those already forged with AstraZeneca, Domantis and Dr. Reddy's.

Argenta also has a successful fee-for-service contract research business. We undertake clients' entire discovery programmes or elements thereof, including hit identification, hit-to-lead, and lead optimisation. Argenta works closely with its clients, focusing on integrated project management and open communication. We contribute resource, expertise, and guidance as required, and also provide support for patent and intellectual property issues. Our staff have expertise in a broad range of therapeutic areas and target classes.

Argenta’s management and staff have a wealth of pharmaceutical industry experience and a track record of success in pharmaceutical R&D.

Our staff have a combined total of over 1100 scientific publications, and over 750 patents in many therapeutic areas. In addition, they have been responsible for taking over 70 compounds to clinical development, with 19 of these reaching the market.
