Harry is Executive Vice President, Therapeutics of Argenta Discovery, having
joined the company in October 2004 following the merger with Etiologics.
Harry has a long and prestigious career in chemistry, beginning aged
17 at Lancashire Tar Distillers, before joining Geigy. He has 54 patents
and 56 publications to his name.
After his PhD from the University of Manchester and a brief interlude
as a process chemist at Roche, he joined Allen & Hanburys. Harry worked
his way up over 23 years from a bench scientist to Director of Chemistry
(GlaxoWellcome, UK). Along the way he ran teams/groups of chemists/medicinal
chemists ranging in size from 6 to 45, the Division being 284 strong.

Following the merger with SmithKline Beecham, Harry left GlaxoWellcome
to take up a post of Research Director at Ribotargets (70 staff) where
he was ultimately responsible for all research activities (chemistry,
biology, CADD, structural biology).
Following two mergers, he began working part-time with Vernalis and consulted
with a number of companies (including Etiologics) and investors over the
summer of 2004.
